Active Learning Through Play and Storytelling

Since 2023, Fauvea has been working with Swip on Spin & Play, an active educational game designed to encourage movement, coordination, and group play for children, without the use of screens. The project is built around a physical play mat, which is the central element of the Spin & Play experience. Designed to be easy to set up and adaptable to different spaces, the mat allows children to play by moving, jumping, and reacting to game situations, both indoors and outdoors.

The experience is based on action and interaction, promoting a playful and dynamic approach to learning. In addition to the physical game, Spin & Play is supported by a first game-book, « The Ruins of Atlantis ».
This title is designed as a special edition within the Les Voyages Fantastiques de Téo & Léonie series. The story complements the game by offering an adventure that is accessible to children and directly connected to the playful mechanics of the mat.

The Téo & Léonie books combine the pleasure of reading with a strong educational dimension. Each adventure ends with eight pages of educational content directly linked to the story experienced. These pages allow children to explore the themes introduced during the adventure in greater depth and to extend the game experience through discovery and understanding. This prototype phase lays the foundations of Spin & Play by bringing together physical play, storytelling, and learning within a single, unified experience.
