Fun, Reinvented
Koliseum Series VR was born from a simple idea: reinvent classic fun by merging nostalgia with cutting-edge virtual reality. While playing on a vintage table soccer game during the summer of 2017, we imagined how the iconic sensations of 20th-century foosball could be transformed into an intense and modern VR experience. Just a few months later, that idea became a mind-blowing, award-winning VR game, now also available on Steam VR.
The goal was to preserve everything players love about traditional table soccer while enhancing it with spectacular VR mechanics. Physical sensations, precision movements, and familiar gameplay are combined with mind-bending tricks, customizable skins, and innovative interactions. Wearing a VR headset becomes part of the fun, turning a beloved classic into a bold and immersive entertainment experience.
The new Company
To support the development and industrialization of the project, a dedicated company named Kynoa SA was founded in November 2017. The product was officially launched under the name Koliseum Series VR, marking a new chapter in competitive virtual reality gaming.
Kynoa SA released a complete four-player physical VR table, a fully online version available on Steam, and a solo version designed for VR arcades. Players can compete locally or face remote opponents online, making the experience accessible to both public venues and individual users. By combining hardware, electronics, and precision mechanics, VR table soccer represents a true technological leap, positioned halfway between nostalgic gameplay and high-tech innovation.
Award Nomination
Koliseum Series VR quickly gained international recognition for its originality and technical excellence. The game won the AUREA Award in Germany, honoring it as one of the most innovative VR attractions in the industry.
It was also shortlisted among eight major VR projects at the prestigious VR Awards 2018. Competing alongside productions such as ILMxLAB’s “Secrets of the Empire” and Framestore’s “A Moon for All Mankind”, Koliseum Series VR stood out as a bold reimagining of a classic game, successfully bridging the gap between nostalgia and the future of immersive entertainment.
