A fantastic ride through history
A Fantastic Ride Through History is a high-tech immersive experience created to express the innovative spirit of DuPont. When DuPont invited us to imagine a bold and forward-looking concept capable of reflecting its long legacy of innovation, we envisioned a journey through time that explores the ideas, challenges, and breakthroughs that have shaped the way we dress, cook, and live.
Designed as a virtual reality time machine, the experience was conceived to create a close and personal connection between the viewer and the brand. Through meaningful interactive elements, participants are not simply watching the story unfold but actively taking part in it. By interacting within the experience, they gain a deeper understanding of the processes, technologies, and achievements that define DuPont’s influence on everyday life.
Creativity and advanced technology came together in a unique scenographic installation presented at K Show, the world’s largest trade show dedicated to plastics and materials. Visitors entered a specially designed space inspired by a traditional library, where six participants at a time could simultaneously explore the DuPont universe through virtual reality, seamlessly blending heritage and innovation.
Creativity meets cutting-edge technology
The installation drew strong interest throughout the event, with more than 1,200 visitors experiencing the VR Library. Feedback was extremely positive, emphasizing both the emotional strength of the narrative and the clarity with which complex engineering concepts were communicated through immersive storytelling.
Rudy van Engen, EMEA Business Director at DuPont Performance Materials, described the collaboration as a thrilling journey, highlighting how virtual reality brought the world of plastics and engineering to life in a powerful and engaging way.
From our side, working with DuPont on the development of the Time Machine was equally inspiring. Pascal Montjovent explained that the project allowed us to combine our passion for innovation with DuPont’s desire to share its story, resulting in an experience that captured the imagination of K Show visitors and invited them into the world of DuPont.
This project demonstrates how immersive technology and storytelling can elevate a brand narrative, transforming industrial innovation into a memorable and engaging experience.
